About the Role
Envalior is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our Data & AI Center of Excellence in Düsseldorf. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing data quality at scale and developing advanced analytics, predictive models, and decision-support tools. You will be instrumental in driving Envalior's transformation into a data-driven enterprise by producing insights that influence strategic decisions, improve forecasting, reduce waste, and boost global productivity.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth exploration, analysis, and correction of complex datasets to improve data completeness and quality within source systems.
- Develop analytical tools to pinpoint harmonization gaps in Envalior's data and process infrastructure.
- Construct models for complex datasets to generate predictive, prescriptive, and explanatory insights that support global business functions.
- Collaborate with Data Architects and MDM Experts to define data requirements and ensure the utilization of approved, high-quality data sources.
- Manage and monitor the entire model lifecycle, including performance metrics, drift detection, retraining schedules, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure all developed models adhere strictly to ethical AI principles, fairness standards, and relevant regulatory mandates.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, or a related Engineering field.
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of professional experience in data science or a related field.
- Proven experience in advanced modeling techniques.
- Expert proficiency in Python and Machine Learning Operations (ML Ops).
- Demonstrated experience in analytics engineering.
- Strong capabilities in data storytelling and communicating complex findings.
- Solid business acumen to understand and address business challenges.
