Role Overview

This 6-month remote contract is for a Learning & Development Specialist who will support business teams in identifying development needs and shaping effective learning experiences. The position focuses on coordinating and maintaining learning journeys, skill pathways, onboarding resources, and development plans using approved content from internal and external learning platforms.

The role partners with internal stakeholders to turn workforce capability needs into structured learning solutions. It is centered on content curation, pathway management, and improving the learner experience, rather than creating training material from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with business partners to uncover capability gaps, learning goals, and team development priorities.
  • Curate and coordinate learning content from enterprise learning resources such as Skillsoft Percipio, Pluralsight, and other approved platforms.
  • Help build, organize, and keep current learning journeys, skill pathways, onboarding programs, and development plans.
  • Review learning materials for quality, relevance, correctness, and fit with business requirements.
  • Structure content into clear, logical sequences that support employee growth and skill building.
  • Create and maintain learner guides, pathway summaries, communication materials, and related documentation.
  • Monitor content changes and keep learning journey inventories up to date.
  • Partner with Learning & Development, subject matter experts, and business leaders to ensure learning solutions stay useful and current.
  • Suggest improvements to existing pathways based on learner input and organizational priorities.
  • Assist with reporting and analysis tied to learner engagement and content usage.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Background in learning and development, talent development, workforce development, or a similar area.
  • Strong planning, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Ability to assess business needs and convert them into practical learning recommendations.
  • Experience using enterprise learning platforms and digital learning content.
  • Excellent written communication and technical writing ability.

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to tools such as Skillsoft Percipio, Pluralsight, LinkedIn Learning, Degreed, Cornerstone, or similar systems.
  • Understanding of competency models, skills frameworks, and career development pathways.
  • Experience in content curation, learning program coordination, or workforce upskilling initiatives.
