About the Role

Original Joe’s is seeking a Line/Prep Cook for its Marda Loop location in Calgary. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a busy kitchen, takes pride in producing consistently good food, and works well as part of a team. The position suits both people starting out in hospitality and those looking to continue growing their restaurant career.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Cooking and assembling menu items according to recipe and quality standards so every plate is consistent in taste and presentation.
• Helping with ingredient preparation and station setup before service, while following kitchen procedures.
• Keeping the kitchen area tidy, well arranged, and aligned with food safety and sanitation expectations.
• Working closely with other kitchen staff to keep service running smoothly during busy periods.
• Tracking stock levels, supporting supply checks, and helping reduce food waste where possible.
• Working quickly and accurately to meet kitchen demand without compromising quality.
• Assisting with cleaning duties and basic upkeep of kitchen equipment when needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Prior kitchen experience is helpful, though training can be provided to the right candidate.
• A genuine interest in cooking and delivering reliable food quality.
• Strong attention to detail, especially around presentation and consistency.
• Ability to contribute positively in a team-based environment.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving setting and staying organized under pressure.
