Deskripsi pekerjaan
Overview
This opportunity is for 30 qualified linguists to complete a short language evaluation exercise. The work involves reviewing two responses built from the same prompt and deciding which one performs better on language quality and communication effectiveness.
Who is needed
The project is split evenly between two regions: 15 participants based in the United States and 15 based in the United Kingdom. Applicants should be native-level English speakers and should have a background in linguistics, language studies, translation, editing, content review, or a similar area.
Task details
You will receive two language samples generated from the same prompt. Your job is to assess both samples carefully, compare them on fluency, clarity, language quality, and overall effectiveness, then choose the stronger one. A short explanation for your choice is also required.
The evaluation is expected to take about 10 to 15 minutes.
Ideal profile
Suitable candidates are native English speakers from either the US or the UK, with academic or professional exposure to linguistics, translation, editing, or language teaching. The role also calls for close attention to detail and the ability to make balanced, objective judgments.
Application details
When applying, include your country (US or UK), your relevant linguistic background or experience, your highest qualification, confirmation that you are a native English speaker, and your availability to finish the task within 24 to 48 hours.
Shortlisted candidates will be given full instructions after selection.
Additional information
This is a short evaluation assignment rather than a long-term role. No stipend or salary amount was specified in the source.
