Role Overview
Tata Technologies is conducting a walk-in hiring drive on 30 June in Pune and Chennai for the position of Logistic Engineer. Educational Qualification
Candidates should have a Diploma or a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automotive, or Design.
Experience Required

Technical Capabilities
- Hands-on exposure to greenfield and brownfield logistics project execution
- Planning for inbound, outbound, and in-plant logistics
- Designing material movement from supplier to plant, line, warehouse, and yard
- Working knowledge of milk-run, JIT, JIS, and CKD/SKD logistics models
- Experience with line-feeding approaches such as kitting, sequencing, and bulk supply
- Understanding of transportation planning and returnable packaging control
- Ability to plan and improve logistics layouts
- Yard operations planning and finished-goods vehicle movement coordination
- Application of lean logistics concepts such as FIFO, Kanban, and supermarket systems
- Process mapping for logistics operations
Tool Knowledge
- AutoCAD
- MS Office, including PowerPoint and Excel
- Teamcenter
Special Requirements
- Prior experience working with global automotive clients
- Strong understanding of inbound, in-house, and outbound logistics
- Exposure to logistics planning for press, BIW, paint, TCF shop, and yard operations
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics planning solutions for global OEM plant projects
- Coordinate and guide project teams working on logistics and supply chain activities
- Handle project planning, cost estimation, execution, and rollout support
- Provide both technical and commercial inputs to the project team
- Drive project goals by leading the team and ensuring deliverables are met
- Build and refine end-to-end logistics concepts for material flow across inbound, in-plant, and outbound stages
- Align supply chain design with production output, takt time, and line-side needs
- Validate layouts, warehouse structures, supermarkets, and line-feeding methods such as bulk supply, kitting, and sequencing
