Role overview
The Operations Specialist supports the daily running of supply chain activities across Australia and New Zealand. The role focuses on maintaining accurate operations, protecting system integrity, and coordinating smoothly with internal teams, third-party logistics providers, transport partners, and vendors.
This position works across multiple platforms, including ERP and warehouse systems such as Cin7 Core, Mainchain, and Red Prairie. A major part of the job is keeping data correct, troubleshooting operational issues, and supporting the movement of goods through the supply chain.
The role is important for helping ensure product availability, supporting service performance, and delivering a smooth customer experience across the ANZ region.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the daily execution of inbound and outbound supply chain activities across Australia and New Zealand.
- Work with logistics partners, vendors, and 3PL providers to keep goods moving efficiently, including shipment planning, documentation, and domestic freight such as wharf cartage.
- Prepare, update, and maintain purchase orders in ERP and WMS platforms while ensuring they remain accurate and aligned with operational schedules.
- Support export activity by coordinating shipments and handling the related documentation.
- Oversee ongoing value-added services and rework activities within 3PL environments, ensuring procedures are followed correctly.
- Monitor outbound orders and help drive fulfilment across ANZ, identifying and removing blockages that could affect service levels.
- Investigate discrepancies across systems and operational processes, then escalate or resolve them as needed.
- Keep order, inventory, and shipment records highly accurate across ERP and warehouse management tools.
- Support the handling of returned stock so that system records match physical inventory.
- Take part in continuous improvement efforts to strengthen processes, improve data quality, and increase operational efficiency.
Experience and attributes
- At least 2 years of experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics execution.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, such as Cin7 or comparable inventory and purchase order platforms.
- Exposure to inbound logistics, customs procedures, or freight coordination is highly regarded.
- Strong eye for detail and a consistent focus on data accuracy.
- Ability to juggle several tasks and priorities in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- Comfortable following established processes accurately and consistently.
- Capable of spotting issues and either resolving them or escalating them within set frameworks.
- Builds strong working relationships with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Contributes ideas and actions that improve operations and streamline processes.
- Clear communicator who can collaborate effectively across teams and with outside partners.
- Positive, proactive, and eager to learn while taking on new challenges.
