Part Time Bookkeeper

About the Role

JBC Distribution is a UAE-based distributor of mother, baby, and child products. The company is hiring a part-time bookkeeper for its in-house office in Sharjah Industrial Area 18.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, totaling 20 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Keep daily financial entries up to date and recorded correctly.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Perform reconciliations for bank and cash balances.
• Handle supplier invoices and customer payment processing.
• Support VAT record preparation and help with return-related documentation.
• Maintain well-organized accounting files and record-keeping systems.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and management accounts.
• Liaise with the external accountant or auditor whenever needed.
• Track petty cash usage and expense reimbursements.
• Create and update Excel sheets, reports, and other data files as required.
• Provide general administrative support and assist with additional office duties once bookkeeping tasks are complete.

Requirements

• Between 2 and 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably gained in the UAE.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software.
• Advanced ability in Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of UAE VAT rules and compliance.
• High accuracy, strong attention to detail, and good organizational habits.
• Comfortable handling multiple tasks and working with minimal supervision.
• Must already hold a valid UAE residence visa, as visa sponsorship is not available.
