Overview
Mihad is hiring a Procurement Officer to oversee sourcing and contracting activities related to construction and finishing materials across the company’s projects in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate procurement for construction and finishing materials used in all company projects.
- Review bills of quantities (BOQ) and engineering drawings to ensure the selected materials align technically with project requirements.
- Collect, evaluate, and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors from both technical and commercial perspectives.
- Prepare subcontractor agreements and define the scope of work clearly to help avoid variation orders during execution.
- Track suppliers and deliveries to make sure materials reach project sites according to the planned schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of material pricing and subcontractor rates in the Saudi market, with preference for candidates familiar with the Eastern Province market.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to read and interpret legal and engineering contracts.
- Proficiency in computer applications and office software.
