Production Coordinator

Overview

Tarte Cosmetics is hiring a Production Coordinator to help manage product launch and replenishment activities. This position is suited to an early-career professional or recent graduate who wants practical exposure to production planning and supply chain operations in a fast-moving setting.

The right person will be organized, adaptable, and comfortable learning new processes with limited supervision. The role centers on keeping supplier inventory reconciliations accurate, creating and releasing shipments, maintaining purchase orders, monitoring production timelines, and helping ensure finished goods arrive on schedule across the supplier network.

Key Responsibilities

• Check monthly supplier inventory reports and reconcile them so production and shipping records stay accurate.
• Help organize annual physical inventory counts with suppliers.
• Create shipments, post them in the system, and complete production order closeouts.
• Monitor production schedules to support on-time manufacturing and delivery of finished goods.
• Prepare, issue, and update purchase orders for launch and replenishment needs in line with production plans and demand forecasts.
• Work with suppliers to verify production details, address delays, and escalate issues when needed.
• Coordinate across planning, logistics, and product development teams to support launch and replenishment execution.
• Use the ERP system to process transactions, record receipts, and generate reports.
• Assist in reviewing supplier performance and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
• Help coordinate logistics and shipping methods so timelines are met in a cost-conscious way.
• Keep production files, samples, and supporting documents organized for reference and compliance.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a similar field is preferred, though equivalent hands-on experience may also be considered.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in production, supply chain, or operations.
• Strong willingness and ability to learn systems, tools, and workflows quickly.
• Excellent organization and close attention to detail.
• Ability to juggle several priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well with internal teams and outside suppliers.
• Comfort using Microsoft Excel; PivotTables and VLOOKUP are helpful.
• A positive mindset, flexibility, and a proactive approach to solving problems.
• Ability to succeed in an evolving, fast-changing organization.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% when required.

Preferred Background

• Previous internship or work experience in production, operations, or purchasing.
• Exposure to ERP systems and supply chain workflows.
• Interest in the beauty or consumer packaged goods sector.

Compensation and Benefits

The posted salary range is $66,350 to $66,500, with final compensation depending on factors such as skill level, relevant experience, and education.
