Role overview
As the Production Planner, you will report to the Planning Manager and take responsibility for preparing production plans for selected manufacturing unit needs. The role is focused on keeping products available for customers, making the best use of resources, and improving plant efficiency through effective planning.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare availability estimates for Sales enquiries covering both standard and non-standard products, and alert the relevant teams if those delivery dates may be missed.
- Review any production compliance issues and put corrective actions in place when required.
- Create and update weekly production schedules, including 1–2 week firm schedules by work centre, for the required manufactured items across the relevant factories.
- Take part in coordination meetings with manufacturing and sales teams, and ensure assigned follow-up actions are completed.
- Look for ways to reduce excess inventory, including using alternate substitution where appropriate.

- Strong planning and organisational capability to coordinate resources, timelines, and workflow effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail to keep costing information, technical specifications, marketing material, and support documentation accurate.
- Comfortable engaging with a broad mix of people across the business.

- Able to stay effective under pressure and adjust plans in a changing manufacturing environment.
