Overview
The Task Associate (TA) is instrumental in achieving operational excellence to support sales drivers, thereby creating an exceptional experience for all Ulta Beauty guests. This role involves maintaining merchandise stock levels, ensuring overall store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. The TA supports the Merchandise Manager and Operations Manager by focusing on performance metrics, team and guest interactions, and adherence to operating procedures and compliance standards. This position demands a keen eye for detail and the ability to follow established processes.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to achieving or surpassing store retail targets by ensuring all tasks are executed as planned and products are readily available for purchase.
- Meet compliance and execution goals for the task dashboard, ensuring timely completion of operational processes including shipment, replenishment, merchandise sets, and inventory procedures.
- Maintain punctual and consistent attendance.
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and both internal and external guests.
- Actively participate in continuous professional development through ongoing training, including brand and category education, to enhance sales performance.
- Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
- Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code.
- Execute merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory procedures, and process shipments utilizing Ulta Beauty’s technology and best practices.
- Drive operational excellence by maintaining assigned work areas with adequate stock, proper signage, and facing, and ensuring testers are available.
- Uphold outstanding store standards and overall cleanliness, including the sales floor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break areas.
- Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices and delivering exceptional guest service.
- Perform other operational duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma preferred.
- One year of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with basic technology, including Point of Sale systems and Apple devices.
- Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early morning shifts, days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.
Working Conditions
- Requires continuous mobility throughout the store during shifts.
- Involves frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting.
- Requires continuous or frequent lifting, carrying, and/or moving of items up to 25 lbs.
- Demands continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.
