Role Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor, listed here as Warehouse Controller, will oversee daily warehouse activities and make sure physical movements and system records stay fully aligned. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, following warehouse procedures, and supporting efficient, compliant operations that meet company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day warehouse functions such as receiving, storage, picking, staging, and distribution.
- Keep every physical warehouse movement correctly updated in the WMS/ERP system.
- Prepare and track Transfer Orders (TOs) and ensure system entries are kept current.
- Review warehouse work against checklists, SOPs, and operational requirements.
- Maintain inventory accuracy, bin location discipline, and stock integrity.
- Apply warehouse rules, procedures, and operating standards consistently.
- Track picking activities to improve route efficiency, reduce unnecessary movement, and raise productivity.
- Control replacement requests, high-risk stock, and stock mismatch issues.
- Ensure newly received assortments are stacked and stored according to best practices.
- Allocate warehouse zones to staff and clearly define individual responsibilities.
- Carry out periodic random inspections across warehouse areas to confirm process compliance.
- Take preventive action to reduce damage, inventory shrinkage, and waste.
- Support improvements in warehouse productivity and overall operational output.
- Complete daily housekeeping and stock verification tasks as per inventory cycle plans.
- Make sure staged items are completed within SLA timeframes.
- Check warehouse equipment condition and escalate maintenance requirements when needed.
- Distribute the daily workload among team members and communicate expectations clearly.
- Coach, support, and encourage team members to strengthen performance and collaboration.
- Track, measure, and report warehouse KPIs and team performance results.
Requirements
- At least 3 to 4 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or warehouse supervision.
- Practical, hands-on experience in warehouse controlling is essential.
- Experience with SAP or WMS systems is required.
- Solid understanding of warehouse flows, including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch.
- Good knowledge of inventory control methods, stock accuracy, and bin management.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Advanced ability to use Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Ability to handle several warehouse tasks at the same time.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Capability to follow instructions and maintain operational discipline.
