About Sarvam Foundation

Sarvam Shakti is a key initiative of Sarvam Foundation focused on empowering girls from urban slum communities through education and holistic development. The program blends creative learning with intensive exposure to Indian performing arts, yoga, computer literacy, and English education. The students, referred to as Shaktis, have represented the initiative on national television and at international events. Through a skills-oriented curriculum and well-being support, the organization aims to help marginalized girls build confidence, self-respect, and a stronger sense of purpose.

About the internship

This part-time, in-office internship is for an English teaching role where the selected intern will conduct spoken English sessions for girls from underserved backgrounds. The position is based in Bangalore, with local candidates around Nagarbhavi preferred. The internship runs for 6 months and begins immediately.

Key responsibilities

  • Run interactive spoken English classes for the girls enrolled in the program.
  • Support improvement in day-to-day conversational English through discussions, activities, and practice-based learning.
  • Strengthen vocabulary and pronunciation through structured exercises.
  • Explain basic grammar in a simple, practical, and student-friendly way.
  • Motivate students to speak English with greater confidence.
  • Prepare lightweight classroom material such as activities, worksheets, and speaking drills.
  • Observe student progress and share regular feedback.

Eligibility and requirements

  • Applicants must be available for an in-office internship and able to commit for the full 6-month duration.
  • Candidates should be able to begin between 2 Jul 2026 and 6 Aug 2026.
  • Relevant skills and a genuine interest in teaching are expected.

  • Fluency in Kannada is mandatory.

Compensation and working details

The stipend is INR 2,800 to 5,601 per month. The role also includes a pay structure of ₹700 per class, with each session lasting about one hour, and classes are held twice a week.
