Job Summary
Braskem is seeking an Administrative Assistant for its Maintenance and Document Control departments in La Porte, TX. This role is crucial for daily operations and strategic document management. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment. Physical requirements include extended periods of sitting and standing, and the use of a step ladder. Accuracy in data entry is essential to prevent payment or filing errors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Maintenance Leader, assisting with various activities, projects, document creation, and fostering a positive work atmosphere.
- Process plant invoices for maintenance and other critical items, adhering strictly to procurement guidelines.
- Manage and organize equipment documentation from multiple network locations as part of document control duties. This includes evaluating and removing obsolete files, renaming and organizing current documents, updating metadata and tracking in Excel, populating load sheets, scanning physical documents, and uploading files to SmartPlant Foundation.
- Coordinate diverse site activities such as meeting arrangements, town hall video setups, catering orders, and information dissemination through email and web platforms.
- Operate with independence, demonstrating initiative and effectively managing multiple priorities.
- Communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals.
- Maintain a proactive and open-minded approach to learning new processes and tasks.
- Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion, professionalism, and maturity.
- Exhibit a professional work ethic while contributing to a positive work environment.
- Act as a point of contact for departmental event planning, including organizing meals, large meetings, and providing receptionist services like greeting visitors and site escorts.
