Architectural Engineer

Role overview

Jazera Arabia Contracting is looking for an experienced and detail-focused Architectural Engineer to contribute to its construction projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will create architectural concepts, produce technical drawings, work closely with other engineering disciplines, and help ensure that project delivery aligns with quality expectations, regulations, and project-specific requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Translate project needs into architectural concepts, design layouts, and detailed construction drawings.
• Draft, assess, and update architectural plans, specifications, and other technical documentation.
• Work in coordination with structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil teams to keep design and execution aligned.
• Verify that all designs meet applicable local building regulations, codes, and project standards.
• Visit sites and track construction activity to confirm it matches the approved design intent.
• Examine contractor submissions, shop drawings, and material-related documentation.
• Spot design or construction issues early and support their resolution.
• Take part in project discussions and provide technical guidance across the full project timeline.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in architectural design and construction-related work is expected.
• Practical ability to use AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and similar architectural drafting/design tools.
• Good understanding of building codes, construction techniques, and professional industry practices.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-moving, collaborative environment.
