Role Summary

The Assistant, Public Relations will help drive day-to-day support for the global PR function, with a focus on men’s and women’s public relations activities. This onsite role is based in New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the global PR group across national men’s and women’s PR programs.
  • Build and sustain working relationships with editors, stylists, and writers.
  • Coordinate logistics for daily sample requests from national press contacts.
  • Keep the PR office, sample closet, and archives organized and up to date.
  • Track product movement and maintain records in Launchmetrics/Fashion GPS.
  • Work with internal partners such as VIP, Visual Merchandising, Creative, Wholesale, and international business teams on sample needs and seasonal shoots.
  • Manage credits and verify facts for men’s and women’s press placements.
  • Prepare daily and weekly editorial reports and support weekly and monthly summaries with the Brand Communications team.
  • Partner closely with an intern on everyday coordination and follow-through.
  • Contribute to team PR projects including parties, launches, events, strategy meetings, and other initiatives for men’s and women’s programs.
  • Monitor industry activity and research competitor best practices.
  • Support ordering of runway samples.
  • Assist the PR, VIP, and Brand Communications teams during runway shows and press days.
  • Handle administrative PR work such as invoicing and maintenance of distribution lists.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, along with at least 1 year of relevant public relations experience.
  • Strong organizational ability and comfort managing several priorities in a busy setting.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence both internal colleagues and outside partners.
  • Self-driven approach with ownership, initiative, and accountability.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this position is $26.00 to $29.00 per hour.
