Role Overview
The store in O'Connell St., Limerick is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run day-to-day operations. In this role, you will work alongside the Store Director to improve sales results, uphold a high standard of customer service, and keep the team working in a positive and productive environment.
This is a 40-hour per week position spread across 5 days. Full flexibility is required, including availability from Monday to Sunday.
Key Responsibilities
You will be expected to support store performance through strong leadership, commercial awareness, and careful operational control.
- Maintain a consistently high standard of customer service across the store.
- Implement, track, and adjust actions designed to achieve and surpass sales goals.
- Review management data and operating costs to identify improvements.
- Help execute merchandising guidelines and make the best use of floor space to increase profitability.
- Stay well informed about the product collection and manage stock effectively to drive sales.
- Set a strong example and encourage clear, effective communication within the team.
- Participate in hiring, training, and smooth onboarding of new team members.
- Lead the team with energy and motivation while supporting the growth of employee potential.
- Organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks in a way that uses resources efficiently and keeps costs down.
- Oversee personnel administration tasks to ensure they are handled properly.
About You
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience managing a busy retail environment, ideally within the fashion sector. You should be self-driven, lead by example, and encourage teamwork while delivering strong business results. A solid track record of improving profitability is important. We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, highly organized, persistent, solution-focused, comfortable working under pressure, and adaptable to change.
