About the Role
Cappy Media is hiring a highly organized Producer / Assistant Editor to support a fast-growing YouTube channel focused on military technology, geopolitics, special operations, intelligence agencies, and modern conflict. This position combines publishing operations, light editing, and production support. You will work closely with the senior editor to help every episode move through the pipeline and go live on schedule across several platforms.
Episode Publishing and Distribution
- Publish and optimize 12 long-form episodes each month on YouTube.
- Upload audio versions to Spotify and RSS-based podcast feeds, and distribute them accordingly.
- Upload and schedule short clips across social channels.
- Publish finished episodes to subscription platforms and member-only services.
- Prepare video descriptions, chapter markers, tags, metadata, and thumbnails.
- Set release times and confirm that all published content is live and working properly.
Exclusive Content Production
- Edit and release 5 subscriber-only reaction videos per month.
- Create thumbnails, titles, and metadata for exclusive releases.
- Organize content libraries and keep archives well maintained.
Sponsor Segment Production
- Edit and deliver 12 sponsor integrations each month, with each segment being about 60 seconds long.
- Combine sponsor footage, graphics, logos, and calls to action into the final segment.
- Make sure sponsor deliverables are completed on time and follow brand guidelines.
Production Support
- Support the senior video editor during weekly episode production.
- Collect assets such as B-roll, maps, graphics, screenshots, and OSINT research materials.
- Keep project files organized and editing workflows consistent.
- Carry out revisions and final quality checks before publication.
Channel Operations
- Maintain production calendars and deadline tracking.
- Monitor sponsor commitments and publication timelines.
- Coordinate with writers, editors, and channel management to keep work progressing smoothly.
Requirements
- Advanced skill in Adobe Premiere Pro, or a comparable professional editing tool.
- Prior experience publishing video content on YouTube.
- Working knowledge of podcast hosting platforms and RSS feeds.
- Strong planning skills and a sharp eye for detail.
- Ability to juggle several deadlines at once.
- Genuine interest in military history, geopolitics, intelligence, defense technology, or current events.
- Comfort working independently with little supervision.
- Capable of operating in a fast-paced publishing environment where schedules matter.
- Available for occasional evening and weekend work when production deadlines or sponsor obligations require it.
Preferred Experience
- Background in Photoshop and thumbnail design.
- Experience with After Effects or motion graphics.
- Knowledge of OSINT research and sourcing visual assets.
- Familiarity with YouTube analytics and audience retention metrics.
Success Metrics
- Efficient collaboration with the senior editor that shortens production cycles.
