Role overview

The VERO Studio is seeking a motivated Bid Manager to join its growing team supporting both the Lighting Design and Landscape Design practices across London and Dubai. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai or London, focused on leading opportunities from initial qualification through to contract award.

What the role involves

You will oversee the full bid and proposal process, shaping value propositions, developing solution approaches, coordinating commercial input, identifying partners, and managing risk. The role also includes setting up and applying bid procedures, handling tender documents in line with company standards, and ensuring bids are delivered on time and to a high quality. Because the position is highly networked and deadline-driven, it demands the ability to stay effective under pressure together with strong people and commercial skills.

Core duties

• Drive the complete bid and proposal journey for landscape architecture and lighting design projects.
• Coordinate bid activity across design, technical, and commercial contributors so submissions remain compliant, persuasive, and consistent with client needs and brand guidelines.
• Participate in bid launch meetings, clarify scope and specifications, and review tender documents, technical requirements, and project conditions.
• Examine tender packs, define bid strategy and win themes, build bid plans and timelines, and monitor progress against key milestones.
• Draft, refine, and edit bid content, create supporting materials, and ensure pricing and commercial information is accurate with the help of relevant stakeholders.
• Keep a central bid knowledge repository up to date while tracking performance measures and improving bid processes over time.
• Support client presentations and respond to clarifications when needed.
• Evaluate technical and commercial risks throughout the bid cycle and take appropriate mitigation steps in line with company policy.
• Manage the bid budget and track costs where required.
• Research current and emerging market trends to help ensure bids are timely, compliant, and commercially strong.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate has experience delivering bids within architecture, design, engineering, or construction-related environments, along with the confidence to manage multiple tenders simultaneously. Strong English writing, editing, formatting, and presentation abilities are essential, as is a structured and detail-focused working style.
