Overview

An established and expanding accounting practice on the Mornington Peninsula is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join its team. You’ll work with a portfolio of existing business clients and provide day-to-day support to the accountants. The business offers monthly on-site training to help you build your skills and professional qualifications.

In this role, you’ll handle a broad range of bookkeeping duties for a varied client base while working closely with a senior bookkeeper and the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare support for monthly reporting, including BAS, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and related reports.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
  • Respond to client phone enquiries and provide helpful front-line support.
  • Assist the accountants and senior bookkeeper with ongoing client work and administrative tasks.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant will bring at least two years of bookkeeping experience, with strong payroll exposure considered essential. You should be comfortable using Xero and MYOB, and enjoy working directly with clients.
