Bus Driver

Role overview

We are seeking bus drivers to support a large independent transport operation serving Wiltshire, North and West Wiltshire, and Bath. The business operates a fleet of 60 vehicles and runs both contracted rural services and commercial routes.

Base operations are located in Chippenham, with additional outstations close to Melksham, Devizes, Trowbridge, and Frome.

Working pattern

This position is available as a full-time, part-time, or weekend-only opportunity. Shifts are in-person and typically run for 9 to 10 hours a day, with flexible scheduling arrangements available.

Pay

Hourly pay falls between £15.50 and £20.70, with the exact rate depending on the shift and time worked.

Fleet and service environment

You will operate a mixed fleet that includes Optare Solos, Enviro 200/400 models, and Volvo buses. These vehicles are used across rural contracted routes as well as commercial services.

Qualifications and training

A valid PCV Category D licence and DCPC certification are required for the role. Ongoing training is provided to help maintain and build on driving standards.
