Role overview
The Business Process Analyst position in Austin, TX is focused on studying how work is currently performed, identifying where it can be improved, and helping teams implement better ways of operating. The role combines process analysis, documentation, stakeholder collaboration, and support for organizational change.
What you'll do
- Review existing procedures, workflows, and business processes, then document them clearly.
- Run discussions and working sessions with teams to collect business needs and understand operational pain points.
- Spot delays, weak points, risks, and other opportunities to make processes more efficient.
- Develop future-state process designs and suggest practical improvement approaches.
- Prepare process maps, workflow visuals, business requirement documents, and gap analyses.
- Assist with change management efforts such as communications, training support, and adoption planning.
- Work closely with business leaders, project teams, and subject matter experts to put improvements into action.
- Contribute to business cases, process performance measures, and success criteria for transformation work.
- Make sure requirements support both business objectives and day-to-day operational needs.
- Use Lean methods and continuous improvement practices to strengthen processes.
- Encourage cross-functional collaboration and help teams during implementation.
- Engage stakeholders across levels to support successful process changes.
