Role Summary
The Butler role reports to the Head Butler and sits at the heart of the guest experience. This position covers the full guest journey, including pre-arrival coordination, arrival service, in-stay support, departure assistance, and follow-up after the stay. The person in this role is expected to pay close attention to detail, listen carefully, and tailor every interaction so guest needs are anticipated and handled proactively. The Butler also acts as a representative of the hotel and should be well acquainted with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Spa & Wellbeing operations.
Key Duties
- Build meaningful and personalized relationships with guests and take ownership of guest satisfaction.
- Join daily briefings and note guest details, arrivals, events, and function-related updates.
- Stay informed about city happenings and local activities that may interest guests.
- Respect and apply guest preferences throughout the stay.
- Personalize check-in, villa setup, and villa orientation experiences.
- Provide welcome beverages, tailor-made sightseeing plans, and restaurant suggestions.
- Notice guest needs early and help create memorable moments for special celebrations.
- Handle services such as packing, unpacking, laundry coordination, and shoe polishing.
- Coordinate closely with the in-villa dining team and support customized bar setup and amenity replenishment for occupied villas.
- Serve as a communication bridge between guests and other hotel departments so service remains prompt, courteous, and professional.
- Respond quickly to guest questions and requests, then coordinate with the relevant teams for timely resolution and follow-through.
- Maintain clear communication within the team.
- Work with housekeeping and in-villa dining to ensure guest amenities, preferences, and service standards are delivered smoothly.
- Remove used plates, cutlery, and glassware, and replenish villa bars and amenities as needed.
- Monitor DND villas and share updates with the appropriate teams for follow-up.
- Support departure-related arrangements and guest farewell experiences.
- Keep the Butler station clean and well maintained.
- Handle additional operational assignments and special projects as required.
- Comply with brand standards, operating procedures, and LQA expectations.
- Follow workplace safety and security rules and immediately report accidents, injuries, or incidents to the reporting manager.
- Take part in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability activities organized by the hotel.
- Carry out any other assigned responsibilities as needed.
