Role Summary

The Buyer will manage supplier relationships for goods and services, identify additional sources for materials and service providers, and help ensure a resilient supply chain through negotiation, relationship management, and risk control.

Key Responsibilities

• Build a strong working understanding of capacitors and filters production, including the materials required for each process.
• Handle purchasing activities for new projects as well as serial production requirements.
• Draft and issue RFQs to shortlisted suppliers and ensure offers are received on time.
• Develop and sustain long-term supplier partnerships while tracking their operational performance.
• Set up, update, and follow purchase orders within the system.
• Work with Finance, Warehouse, and Logistics to confirm that documents and deliveries are correct.
• Review the quality and timeliness of delivered materials and services to make sure they meet specifications and company standards.
• Keep internal teams informed about order progress and act early on possible supply-chain risks.
• Maintain accurate supplier and vendor records and prepare purchasing reports and statistics.
• Drive ongoing improvements in procurement processes and related performance metrics.
• Assist Sourcing and Commodity Managers with strategic purchasing initiatives.
• Conduct all procurement activities with the highest ethical standards.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in procurement or a similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel.
• Solid understanding of supplier sourcing and supply chain processes.
• Good analytical ability, cost analysis skills, and the ability to prepare financial reports.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Personal qualities such as precision, adaptability, independence, accountability, and teamwork.
• Experience with Oracle, Lotus, or comparable systems.
• Well-developed planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.

Work Location and Reporting

This is a full-time onsite position based in Ilinden, Skopje, Macedonia. The role sits within the Procurement Department and reports to the Procurement Manager for Macedonia and Bulgaria.
