Cafe Supervisor

Role overview

Golden Goose is hiring a customer-oriented Café Supervisor for the Singapore Paragon store. The position reports directly to the Café Store Manager and involves stepping in to lead shifts when needed, while making sure the outlet opens and closes to the required brand standard.

Key responsibilities

• Take charge of assigned shifts and ensure service, operations, and presentation meet brand expectations.
• Handle cash management tasks accurately.
• Prepare the store for service at opening in line with standard operating procedures.
• Complete closing duties properly and leave the store at the expected standard.
• Place orders for consumables and food items as needed.
• Monitor service delivery and keep it aligned with brand requirements.
• Receive incoming deliveries and manage them appropriately.
• Carry out all duties listed for the Barista and Head Barista roles.
• As shift lead, check espresso quality by measuring and recording grind and dose correctly.
• Ensure beverages are prepared and served according to brand standards.
• Support the team during shifts so Costa brand standards are consistently maintained.
• Make sure coffee equipment remains in working condition and escalate faults to the store manager.
• Stay aware of maintenance schedules and help ensure equipment upkeep is followed.
• Understand store KPIs and how individual and team performance can influence them.
• Perform daily health, safety, and food safety checks, and take or report action where needed.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a café or food service environment.
• Background in supervision, shift leadership, or a similar lead role.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Working knowledge of food safety and hygiene rules.
• Comfortable with cash handling and point-of-sale systems.
• Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Interest in coffee and food would be an advantage.
