About The Role

This role involves shaping the visual storytelling of videos to captivate the general public and effectively communicate with audiences within the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) across both broadcast and online channels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the visual narrative for video productions to engage the public and MINDEF/SAF audiences.
• Adapt filming techniques for a variety of production types, including news gathering, lifestyle entertainment, and documentary filmmaking.
• Operate a range of professional video cameras, digital cameras, mobile devices, and associated equipment.
• Apply comprehensive knowledge of camera operation and filmmaking principles to create compelling camerawork for diverse productions.
• Perform basic video editing tasks.
• Operate drones, provided the necessary certification is held.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of one year of experience in video camera operation.
• Demonstrate proficiency with a variety of professional video cameras, digital cameras, mobile phone cameras, and related equipment.
• Exhibit clear written and verbal communication skills in English, including email correspondence.
• A strong grasp of camera and filmmaking concepts, with prior experience in relevant camerawork, is beneficial.
• Basic video editing skills, including familiarity with software like Adobe Premiere Pro, are advantageous.
• Experience with drone operation, including relevant certifications, is a plus.
