Chief Operating Officer

Role Overview

Our client is looking for a senior, highly involved Chief Operating Officer to work closely with the CEO and executive team on business strategy, operational execution, financial results, and company expansion. This position is responsible for guiding core day-to-day functions such as finance, accounting, supply chain, warehouse operations, human resources, and other cross-department initiatives.

Leadership and Strategy

• Collaborate with the CEO to shape business direction and translate strategy into operational action.
• Own strategic planning efforts, performance targets, and goal-setting processes.
• Promote alignment across teams, strengthen accountability, and support ongoing improvement.

Operations Management

• Direct daily business operations to improve efficiency, profitability, and support for growth.
• Guide and develop senior leaders across several business functions.
• Introduce stronger processes, systems, and scalable operating methods.

Financial Oversight

• Lead P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow oversight.
• Track financial performance and identify ways to increase profitability.
• Manage banking relationships, reporting obligations, and compliance-related financial needs.

Talent and Growth

• Support leadership development, workforce planning, and employee engagement efforts.
• Work alongside HR on hiring, retention, and broader organizational development.
• Assess expansion opportunities and evaluate strategic business partnerships.

Compliance and Risk

• Make sure company operations follow relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Oversee risk controls, insurance coverage, and operational safeguards.

Qualifications

Required background: The ideal candidate should bring prior experience as a COO, VP of Operations, or another senior operations executive. Strong financial leadership experience is essential, including direct ownership of P&L, forecasting, and cash flow. You should also have a history of leading cross-functional teams, scaling operations, and combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Experience working with ERP systems is required.

Preferred background: Experience in fast-growing, founder-led, or transformation-focused businesses is preferred. A background in supply chain, warehouse, logistics, or distribution operations would also be an advantage, along with a proven record of improving operations and driving business growth.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base pay ranges from $100,000 to $180,000, depending on experience.
• A discretionary performance-based bonus is included.
