Chief Operating Officer

Role Overview

Mishkat Agritech Farm is looking for a Chief Operating Officer to take charge of the company’s complete operating engine and work directly with the CEO as part of the senior leadership team. This is a senior, high-accountability position suited to a hands-on operator who can create strong systems and scale them in a fast-moving environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Direct all factory processing and packaging activities while maintaining quality, efficiency, and food safety standards.
• Supervise logistics and distribution across every sales channel.
• Manage the entire supply chain from sourcing of inputs and produce to final delivery.
• Oversee cold chain controls and warehousing so product freshness and integrity are preserved throughout the flow.
• Lead the procurement function and define the sourcing strategy for agricultural produce.
• Design, expand, and refine operating processes and systems to support business growth.
• Work closely with the CEO and leadership group on operational planning, budgeting, and achievement of business goals.
• Set, track, and report on operational KPIs, budgets, and performance dashboards.
• Champion efficiency improvements, cost reduction, and ongoing operational enhancement initiatives.
• Manage cross-functional teams spanning Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, and Warehousing.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, quality, and regulatory obligations.
• Lead ERP deployment, improvement, and operational reporting efforts.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required; an MBA is considered beneficial.
• A minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in operations is needed.
• Prior experience in an FMCG business that sells fresh produce is required.
• Background in a startup setting, or experience launching a new division, branch, or factory from the ground up, is important.
• Strong practical knowledge of fresh produce operations, including experience running a factory or distribution center in a similar environment, is expected.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Odoo, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Oracle is required.
• Work experience in Saudi Arabia is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead operational teams, with strong collaboration across functions, is required.
• The role calls for comfort in a fast-paced, resource-aware growth environment and the ability to combine strategy with hands-on execution.
• Candidates must already be based in Jeddah or be willing to relocate there.
