Role summary

Dexterra is looking for an office Cleaner in Nanaimo, British Columbia. In this role, you will help keep the facility clean and presentable at the highest standard and contribute to a positive experience for the people using the site.

Schedule

The working hours are Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 4:30 pm to 1:00 am, and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 pm to 2:00 am.

Key duties

• Keep floors, washrooms, and waste bins clean and well maintained throughout the facility.
• Carry out cleaning and sanitizing tasks in washrooms, shared spaces, and play areas.
• Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and hand soap when they run low or are missing.
• Remove dust from reachable surfaces, including phone booths, countertops, pillars, light fixtures, and window ledges.

Requirements

• Positive attitude and willingness to contribute.
• Prior floor-care experience is considered an advantage, including scrubbing, buffing, and polishing floors.
• At least 6 months of cleaning experience.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working with cleaning products.
• Strong enough to communicate with a supervisor, clients, and the general public.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be 19 years of age or older.
• A clean criminal background check is required.
• Must have reliable personal transportation.
