Overview

Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions is hiring a Cleaner for its Exeter Mail Centre at Sowton Industrial Estate, Exeter, EX2 7XX. This is a permanent, full-time position offering 37.5 hours per week, with working hours scheduled from Monday to Friday, 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The role pays £12.71 per hour.

The team supports a large property network across Europe, helping keep more than 2,000 locations operating effectively. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for staff and visitors.

What the Role Involves

You will carry out routine cleaning duties across the site and contribute to high standards of hygiene and presentation. The job is practical and hands-on, and includes manual handling. Full guidance and training will be provided.

Key Duties

• Cleaning and maintaining offices, floors, and toilets
• Mopping, vacuuming, and dusting surfaces
• Emptying waste bins and wiping down or sanitising touchpoints
• Picking up litter in yard and car park areas

About You

The ideal candidate is dependable, approachable, and able to stay organised while working on their own. You should be comfortable dealing with colleagues, customers, and managers, and be committed to keeping the workplace clean and safe.

Experience and Training

Prior cleaning experience is helpful but not required. The employer provides a full induction and training, so no previous experience is necessary.
