Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Client Partner to own major client relationships, drive commercial growth, and help shape the next stage of the agency’s development. This is a senior position with significant influence over client outcomes, internal teams, and the direction of Digitas New Zealand.
The role sits at the heart of important client partnerships, including a large-scale digital transformation programme for one of New Zealand’s best-known brands. You will lead key accounts, coordinate cross-functional teams, and identify growth opportunities across both existing clients and the wider agency. You will also contribute to the development and scaling of the client service model in New Zealand.
What You Will Do
- Take full ownership of senior client relationships and serve as the main point of escalation and strategic advice.
- Spot new opportunities, refine them into clear briefs, and convert them into commercial growth.
- Build long-term partnerships that support both client goals and business performance.
- Lead integrated teams across disciplines to deliver digital, customer experience, and transformation work.
- Maintain strong delivery standards across complex projects from strategy through implementation.
- Protect quality, performance, and overall client satisfaction at every stage of the engagement.
- Manage account performance, including revenue, forecasting, and profitability.
- Lead account planning and support sustainable growth over time.
- Handle scope discussions, negotiations, and commercial decisions with confidence.
- Develop and guide a high-performing client team.
- Work closely with specialist teams across Publicis Groupe to bring the right capabilities to clients.
- Support new business through strategic input and pitch leadership.
What We Are Looking For
You should bring substantial experience in a senior client-facing position within a digital or integrated agency. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of expanding client relationships and delivering commercial results, along with experience managing complex, multi-channel, or transformation-led programmes. You should be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and have a strong grasp of digital, customer experience, and integrated delivery.
We are looking for someone who is commercially astute, proactive, and ready to take strong ownership of their work.
Progression
This position is intended for someone ready to move into broader leadership. There is a clear path toward General Manager level for a person who can work independently, build trusted relationships, and consistently drive growth.
