About the Role
We are hiring a Registered Nurse for a clinical support position at our Mohali, Punjab office. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity focused on reviewing nursing records, supporting care coordination, and communicating remotely with clinicians and patients based in California, USA. The position is not bedside-based and does not involve direct physical assessments or on-location patient visits.
The role is centered on ensuring that nursing documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with applicable California regulations, Medicare/Medicaid requirements, agency policies, and accreditation expectations. It also includes phone-based coordination with patients and U.S.-based clinical teams to clarify visit details and resolve charting discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine and verify nursing notes, visit records, and electronic health documentation prepared by U.S.-based registered nurses.
- Check charting for compliance with California state rules, CMS guidelines, internal policies, and accreditation standards.
- Spot missing information, inconsistencies, or compliance concerns and share clear corrective feedback.
- Track the promptness, accuracy, and completeness of care plans, visit notes, and follow-up documentation.
- Support quality improvement work by identifying recurring documentation issues and training needs.
- Make professional phone calls to patients after clinician visits to confirm that the recorded services match the care actually delivered.
- Speak with U.S.-based clinicians to clarify notes, verify visit information, and settle documentation differences.
- Act as a communication link among patients, clinicians, and supervisory staff to keep conversations clear and respectful.
- Escalate clinical or documentation issues to the right supervisor quickly and professionally.
- Record audit outcomes, follow-up actions, and communication results in the EHR or other internal systems.
- Assist with internal reviews, regulatory checks, and preparation for external surveys or inspections.
- Follow established workflows, turnaround expectations, and quality standards set by the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing or M.Sc. Nursing), or an equivalent qualification.
- Active and valid Registered Nurse license, either in India or internationally recognized.
- 10 to 15 years of RN experience, preferably in home health, community health, clinical documentation, utilization review, or quality assurance.
- Experience with U.S. healthcare systems, home health agencies, or California-based clinical operations is strongly preferred.
- Practical experience using EHR/EMR systems and working with clinical documentation standards.
- Strong understanding of nursing documentation, clinical workflows, and quality review practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical ability.
- Very good spoken and written English skills for patient and clinician communication in the U.S.
- Professional phone manners and a patient-focused communication style.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with remote, cross-border teams.
- Comfort using MS Office and healthcare documentation platforms.
- Willingness to work full-time from the Mohali office with hours aligned to U.S. Pacific Time operations, including evening or night shifts when needed.
Work Details
This is a full-time, in-person role based in Mohali, India. The position follows working hours aligned with U.S. California/Pacific Time operations and may require evening or night shift coverage.
Role Clarifications
This position does not include bedside nursing, hands-on patient assessment, or in-person home visits. All patient and clinician interaction takes place remotely through phone calls and electronic systems.
Compensation and Benefits
