Role Overview

The hotel is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Coffee Sommelier to enhance its coffee programme and deliver an elevated guest experience. This role is ideal for someone who is deeply interested in specialty coffee, enjoys engaging with guests, and performs well in a fast-paced luxury hospitality setting.

Key Duties

• Create memorable coffee experiences for guests through knowledgeable service and refined presentation.
• Apply strong expertise in coffee origins, roasting approaches, brewing processes, and tasting characteristics.
• Suggest coffee choices and food pairings based on individual guest tastes and preferences.
• Maintain excellent standards in the preparation, display, and service of coffee beverages.
• Contribute to the creation and refresh of coffee menus, including seasonal selections.
• Coach and motivate colleagues on coffee theory, brewing practices, and service excellence.
• Oversee quality checks and help ensure consistency across the full coffee offering.
• Keep current with new trends, innovations, and evolving specialty coffee experiences.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a Coffee Sommelier, Head Barista, Coffee Specialist, or similar specialty coffee position. A strong understanding of specialty coffee, brewing methods, sourcing, and sensory assessment is important, along with a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. Clear communication, engaging storytelling, and a positive, cooperative approach are essential. Experience in luxury hospitality, fine dining, or high-end café environments is highly preferred, and formal coffee certifications would be an added advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

• Tax-free annual pay package ranging from QAR 72,000 to QAR 96,000.
