About the Company
This role is with a global luxury hotel group known for delivering refined guest experiences through a blend of international expertise and local knowledge. The Doha property is a prominent high-rise hotel in West Bay, close to key business and exhibition districts, government offices, and major corporate locations. The hotel features spacious accommodations with city and sea views, acclaimed dining options, modern meeting spaces, access to local attractions, a fitness club, and a rooftop pool.
Role Overview
The Commis I - Pastry will handle day-to-day pastry preparation and related kitchen duties to ensure food is produced to the required standards of quality and consistency. Key Duties
- Assist the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie with daily kitchen operations.
- Prepare dishes and execute tasks in line with the menu and instructions set by the Chef de Partie.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with hotel hygiene rules.
- Monitor food inventory and help control food costs within the section.
- Carry out daily mise en place and food production across the main kitchen or satellite sections as required.
- Follow directions from supervisors to complete assigned daily tasks.
- Keep quality levels high and stay updated on new ingredients, recipes, and preparation methods.
- Work with other kitchen sections to manage requirements, cleanliness, waste, and cost control.
