Role Overview

Aptiv8 Pte Ltd is looking for an experienced Cook to join its kitchen team in Singapore. The role involves hands-on food preparation, cooking, plating, hygiene control, stock handling, and end-of-shift closure duties in a busy food service environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep cleaning chemicals properly stored, clearly labeled, and fully stocked, while ensuring they are managed safely.
  • Check and log the temperatures of refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas to support food safety compliance.
  • Clean, examine, and prepare all worktops, tools, and kitchen equipment before use.
  • Prepare ingredients, assemble dishes, and cook food in line with the company’s recipes and quality expectations.
  • Divide portions and present dishes according to company standards, including support with plating when needed.
  • Support chefs at different stations, assist with ingredient preparation, receive and unpack deliveries, and follow FIFO stock rotation practices.
  • Store leftover food correctly, reduce waste, and label stored items properly to maintain freshness.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness across all kitchen areas, sanitize surfaces regularly, and comply with food hygiene procedures.
  • Power down and secure kitchen equipment, work areas, and access points at the end of the shift.
  • Track inventory levels and inform supervisors when supplies need to be replenished or reordered.
  • Take part in training to strengthen culinary skills and communicate clearly with other team members.
  • Complete all assigned duties, leave stations organized, and follow safety requirements before finishing the shift.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in a comparable cooking role.
  • A valid food hygiene certificate is mandatory.
  • Willingness to work long shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
