Role Overview
The Copywriter will report to the Director, Copy & Editorial and join the creative team to shape brand-first copy across marketing channels. This person will develop storytelling ideas for seasonal campaigns and product hero messaging, while working closely with Design, Merchandising, and Marketing teams to keep brand stories aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller with a sharp understanding of social content and the wider fashion landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Turn brand priorities, business goals, and seasonal hero messaging into engaging stories that feel relevant to the culture.
- Write in the rag & bone voice across social platforms, producing copy that fits each channel and ranges from everyday posts to live publishing.
- Develop social-first ideas and content with the Social team for launches, key products, special initiatives, and brand campaigns.
- Create copy for a broad mix of marketing touchpoints, including retail, wholesale, email, paid media, and ecommerce, ensuring it supports both the brand and business.
- Work alongside Design, Merchandising, and Marketing stakeholders to maintain consistent messaging across all channels.
- Participate actively in brainstorming sessions with thoughtful, strategic, and creative input.
- Take feedback well and use input from leaders and cross-functional partners to improve the work.
- Keep all copy accurate and aligned with editorial quality standards.
- Handle several projects at once and meet fast-moving deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Stay current on cultural shifts and social media behavior while understanding what resonates with rag & bone’s audience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, creative writing, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of copywriting experience within a fashion or lifestyle brand.
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates work for social channels and brand campaigns.
- Comfortable receiving feedback and using it productively.
- Adaptable, collaborative, and willing to contribute to tasks of any size.
- Able to move easily between high-level ideation and detailed writing execution.
- Proactive approach to working within cross-functional processes.
- Skilled at combining creative thinking with conversion-minded messaging.
Work Environment
This role follows an in-office schedule of 4 days per week.

Compensation
The expected base salary for this position is $105,000 to $110,000, depending on experience and expectations.
