Role overview

Yuno Energy is seeking a results-oriented Credit Controller to join its established finance credit control function. The role is focused on recovering overdue payments efficiently by tracking customer balances, running debt collection workflows for accounts in arrears, and partnering with account managers to clear obstacles preventing payment.

This position sits within the Finance department and is based in Sandyford, Dublin 18, on a hybrid working arrangement. The compensation is listed as 36,000 OTE.

What you will do

• Manage both incoming and outgoing calls with customers regarding overdue balances.
• Address customer queries quickly and effectively so payment delays can be reduced.
• Agree, negotiate, and monitor repayment arrangements that work for both the customer and the business.
• Work closely with billing and other internal teams to fix issues blocking payment.
• Coordinate with external collection partners and handle exceptions on final overdue accounts.
• Follow company procedures and regulatory requirements when dealing with energy supply removal.
• Collaborate with onboarding teams to evaluate credit risk for new customers before supply begins.
• Take on additional tasks as needed.

What the role calls for

The company is looking for someone who has already worked in credit control and can deal with customers in a composed, courteous, and empathetic way. Strong negotiation ability is important, along with confidence working with figures and clearly explaining invoices in detail. Experience in the energy or telecoms sector would be a strong advantage.

The position also calls for very strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, with a consistent focus on achieving the best possible outcome for customers.

Skills and expertise

• At least 2 years of experience in a customer service or credit control environment.
• Knowledge of utilities, especially energy or telecoms, is advantageous.
• Professional phone manner with the ability to remain calm and tactful.
• Proven track record of working toward strict individual and team targets.
• Experience using a customer relationship management system is helpful.
• Good Excel ability and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
