Data Governance Manager

Role overview

Korean Made Easy For You is seeking a full-time remote Data Governance Manager in the United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will build and oversee the organization’s data governance structure so that data remains reliable, well-organized, and protected across teams and systems.

What you will do

You will be responsible for creating and rolling out governance policies, standards, and frameworks. The role also involves defining who owns and stewards each data set, setting rules for data quality, and making sure governance processes are followed consistently.

You will work alongside leadership, operations, and technology teams to strengthen data management practices, including master data management and metadata recordkeeping. On a day-to-day basis, you will review data flows, spot quality gaps, coordinate fixes, prepare governance updates, and help teams make better data-informed decisions for educational and business goals.

Required background

The position calls for a solid grasp of data governance concepts, including policy design, framework building, and stewardship structures. You should also have practical experience in data management and master data management, including cataloging, lineage tracking, and reference data standards.

Strong data quality expertise is important, especially the ability to define quality checks, track data health, and guide remediation work. Analytical ability is also essential, as you will need to work with data sets, recognize trends or issues, and explain findings to non-technical stakeholders.

You should be comfortable using data governance or data management tools, dashboards, and documentation systems. Since this is a remote role, you’ll need to collaborate effectively across teams, handle several priorities at once, and communicate clearly at different levels of the organization.

Education and preferred context

A bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or a closely related discipline is required. Professional certifications in data governance or data management are considered an advantage.

Experience in education, e-learning, or cultural services is helpful, and an interest in Korean language or culture would be a plus.
