Day Carer – E20

Role overview

Paragon Home Healthcare is looking for a calm, caring, and well-organised day carer to support a young man with a spinal cord injury after his discharge from specialist rehabilitation. The post is based in his own home and is centred on helping him rebuild independence, stay on track with rehabilitation, and keep a steady daily routine.

This is a daytime position intended for the initial move from hospital care into home life. The client is described as intelligent, driven, and keen to regain independence, so he responds best to reassuring, structured support.

Job details

• Immediate joining available
• Day shift on Tuesday and Thursday
• Working hours: 8:00 to 16:00
• Pay rate: £18.90 per hour
• Location: E20, with strong transport connections and nearby amenities

Bonus and reward package

Successful recruits can earn up to £400 in total bonus rewards. This includes £150 for paid training, which is added to the first salary payment once fully recruited, plus an extra £250 joining bonus after probation is completed successfully.

Reward payments and bonuses are subject to eligibility conditions.

Daily duties

The role involves supporting the client with personal care, bowel and bladder routines, movement assistance, rehabilitation exercises, meals, and household tasks. You will also be expected to monitor health changes, keep records accurately, protect confidentiality, and help coordinate transport for appointments.

Training and support

Paragon Home Healthcare specialises in spinal cord injury and complex care. Full training is provided before the role begins, and time may be allowed to become familiar with the care routine where possible. Prior experience in spinal care is not required.
