Detail Inspector I

Role Overview

In this position, you will help keep aircraft engine operations reliable by inspecting gas turbine engine parts and related components, using the right tools, procedures, and technical references. What You Will Do

• Carry out visual and dimensional checks on engine parts to spot damage, wear, or other defects, while confirming they meet required standards.
• Use inspection aids and precision instruments to complete detailed measurements and assessments.
• Review work instructions and technical references to understand the inspection criteria for each part.
• Assess whether a component is serviceable, repairable, or needs a specific repair scope.
• Document inspection findings, prepare inspection records, and complete traveller paperwork to send parts for repair routing.
• Make sure all tasks comply with quality requirements and the applicable engine manual.
• Maintain the cleanliness and proper care of tools, equipment, and the work area.
• Coordinate with other teams and employees to resolve inspection-related matters and support the delivery of acceptable products.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the operation.
• Follow practices that support quality, health and safety, and environmental standards.
• Job grade will depend on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

• GCE N Level, O Level, Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma, or an equivalent qualification in a technical field or Aerospace Engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in engine workshop practices, or in the maintenance and repair of gas turbine engines or aircraft engine components.
• Ability to read and understand approved technical documentation in English.
• Basic knowledge of airworthiness expectations and relevant regulatory agency requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and a careful working style.
• Competence in using visual inspection aids and precision measuring tools.
• Familiarity with CMMs, Engine Manuals (EM), Service Bulletins (SB), and Airworthiness Directives (AD).
• Job grade will also depend on experience and qualifications.
