This opportunity sits within the FinTech business, specifically Dealertrack Canada, a major automotive financing portal that handles more than 6.5 million credit applications each year, and Collateral Management Solutions (CMS), a nationwide technology platform supporting lien and registration services, recovery services, and insolvency management for Canadian lenders. These platforms support the lending workflows used daily by financial institutions and dealers, forming an important part of Canada’s automotive lending ecosystem.
Role Overview
The Director of Product will lead key products in the fintech portfolio and report to the VP of Product, Fintech. The role is responsible for shaping product strategy, guiding product evolution, and leading a team of Product Managers focused on outcomes that matter to lenders and partners across Canada.
You will work across engineering, design, and business functions to turn customer needs and market changes into a clear roadmap and measurable results.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Set the product direction and long-term strategy for important parts of the fintech platform, with clear goals and expected outcomes for the portfolio.
- Manage and mentor Product Managers, helping build a capable team and strengthening their product judgment and leadership skills.
- Work with major financial institutions to understand shifting needs and keep the platform aligned with essential lending workflows.
- Coordinate execution across engineering, design, data, and commercial teams to deliver products with strong business impact.
- Improve product operating practices by introducing frameworks, decision-making structures, and regular rhythms that help teams work effectively.
- Ensure product investments translate into measurable customer and business value.
What You’ll Bring
- At least 8 years of product management experience, including experience leading and developing Product Managers.
- A strong background in defining product vision, strategy, and outcomes for complex platforms or products.
- Experience collaborating with enterprise customers or partners to influence product direction.
- Comfort working in intricate environments with many stakeholders, integrations, and workflows.
- Experience in product-led technology organizations.
- Proven ability to partner with senior leaders across product, engineering, and business functions.
- A history of coaching Product Managers and building high-performing teams.
- Experience in fintech, lending, payments, or financial platforms is beneficial but not mandatory.
