Electrical Revit Designer

Role Overview

PHE Engineering is seeking an Electrical Revit Designer to contribute to a major Australian electrical infrastructure program. In this role, you will convert complex high-voltage and low-voltage network designs into construction-ready BIM deliverables that can be taken straight to site. The position suits someone who can interpret electrical intent, not simply replicate drawings, and who values technical problem-solving alongside modelling efficiency.

Key Duties

• Create and develop HV and LV cable routing layouts, including conduits, pits, submains, distribution pillars, and related infrastructure.
• Build detailed Revit models and installation drawings for electrical services, plant, and equipment within surface buildings.
• Read engineering concepts and turn them into accurate 3D models and documentation that are suitable for construction.
• Coordinate electrical models with structural, mechanical, and civil teams to identify and resolve clashes and buildability issues.
• Take part in design reviews, clash detection meetings, and BIM coordination sessions.
• Check that models and drawings align with project specifications, applicable standards, and safety expectations.
• Help deliver fully coordinated BIM outputs ready for construction use.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong, advanced experience using Revit for electrical 3D modelling is essential.
• Ability to both design and draft, with a clear understanding of electrical systems and infrastructure.
• Background in modelling HV/LV reticulation, cable routes, substations, and related electrical infrastructure.
• Excellent skills in Revit and AutoCAD, along with a solid grasp of BIM workflows.
• A Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical industry experience.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to contribute effectively in multi-discipline design environments.
• Experience with Navisworks, BIM360, or similar coordination tools is beneficial.
• Exposure to ETAP or SafeGrid would be an added advantage, though it is not required.

Work Location and Employment Details

This is a full-time, permanent onsite role based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. The work is connected to a major Australian electrical infrastructure program.
