About the Role

Outsource, a leading staffing firm specializing in low voltage and electrical talent, is seeking an Entry Level Payroll Clerk to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in payroll processing, customer service, and the staffing industry. You will collaborate with Sales & Recruiting teams, external candidates, and clients, gaining practical experience in various operational facets. The role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong aptitude for numbers.

The position begins with a mandatory 90-day in-office training period in Phoenix, AZ, after which it transitions to a hybrid work model, allowing for 3 days remote and 2 days in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll for external candidates.
  • Support the Recruiting team by collecting timecards.
  • Obtain timecard approvals from existing clients.
  • Input data from paper timecards into the payroll software.
  • Assist external candidates with online portal time entry.
  • Resolve payroll-related issues as they arise.
  • Generate and dispatch weekly client invoices.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure invoice accuracy.
  • Handle incoming calls and make outgoing calls to internal and external clients.
  • Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies, such as underpayments.
  • Provide support to various departments, including payroll and accounting, as needed.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with computers in a Windows environment and Microsoft Suite; Microsoft Excel experience is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in an office or customer service capacity.
