Role overview
We are looking for a well-organised and motivated Estimator to join a growing team in Ferndown. This position suits someone with prior estimating experience, ideally from the construction sector, who is comfortable balancing several tasks at once while producing precise quotations to deadline.
What you will do
- Examine drawings, specifications, and tender packs to understand project requirements.
- Build detailed cost estimates for individual projects.
- Adjust and refresh estimates as work develops.
- Work with suppliers to source competitive pricing.
- Keep clear and accurate records in the CRM system.
- Partner with in-house design teams and external sales teams across both new and ongoing projects.
What we are looking for
- Previous experience working as an Estimator.
- Construction background preferred.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Confident written and spoken communication.
- Comfortable working independently as well as within a team.
- Good organisation and time management.
- Competence with Microsoft Office, including Teams.
- Exposure to estimating software would be an advantage.
- At least 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths.
