About the Role

Carver Construction Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team in Indiana. This full-time, onsite position involves managing the development of project estimations, reviewing tender documents, and analyzing project costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general contracting estimating, with a preference for the civil sector.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the creation of project estimates by accurately calculating the scope of work.
• Thoroughly review tender documents to precisely define the project's scope.
• Analyze costs of completed projects against bids to refine the estimating library for future proposals.
• Formulate proposals and devise effective bid strategies.
• Examine specifications and drawings to ascertain the scope of work and necessary estimate components.
• Engage in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy sessions, and presentations, including site visits, as required.
• Manage the development of estimations across various functional disciplines.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five years of experience in project estimating is required.
• Experience in water and wastewater treatment or industrial construction is highly preferred.
• Possession of an Engineering Degree, Engineering Technology Diploma, or equivalent experience in estimating is necessary.
• Demonstrated extensive knowledge of diverse estimating methodologies and techniques.
• Significant understanding of all project management functions, contract administration, procurement, material control, economics, accounting, labor laws, and contractual/legal matters.
• Comprehension of Trade Scope Definitions and Local Market Conditions.
• Familiarity with Varied Contractual Terms & Conditions.
