Role overview
This opportunity is for an Executive Assistant to support two Managing Partners at an early-stage venture capital firm in the San Francisco Bay Area. The role goes well beyond diary management and sits close to the leadership team, with a mix of executive support, office operations, vendor coordination, and event planning.
The firm is known for backing founders building solutions to major climate challenges. It offers a small, collaborative environment where the assistant will work closely with senior stakeholders, founders, investors, and internal teams, with real ownership and day-to-day variety.
Why this role stands out
- Work directly with two senior leaders and learn how a venture capital firm operates from the inside.
- Be part of an organisation focused on investing in businesses tackling climate-related problems.
- Join a supportive, low-politics team culture with a strong sense of collaboration.
- Enjoy autonomy, trust, and a broad range of responsibilities instead of repetitive admin alone.
Key duties
The work is varied and fast-moving, and responsibilities will include managing schedules, travel, and operational support while helping keep the office and events running smoothly.
- Handle complex calendars across several competing priorities.
- Arrange travel within the US and abroad.
- Track and process expenses.
- Oversee the everyday functioning of the San Francisco office.
- Coordinate with vendors, manage facilities matters, and maintain office supplies.
- Support the planning and delivery of investor dinners and the firm’s main annual event.
- Keep CRM records, guest lists, and internal systems accurate and up to date.
- Act as a dependable partner to the leadership team by anticipating needs and reducing operational friction.
What they are looking for
The right candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and comfortable staying ahead of multiple moving parts.
- At least 4 years of experience supporting senior executives in a busy environment.
- Background in venture capital or start-ups is preferred.
- Ability to manage details, priorities, and deadlines with confidence.
- Comfort working in a role that may require flexibility outside standard hours for travel and events.
Working arrangement
This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, with in-office attendance required for 3 or more days each week.
Additional information
There is occasional need for flexibility beyond normal working hours to support travel and event commitments. The role is intended for someone who wants genuine ownership, strong relationships, and a meaningful place within a high-performing team.
