Descrizione del lavoro
Role overview
The Courts Service is looking to add Court Registrars to its Family, Criminal, and Civil court offices. This position gives direct exposure to how the Irish court system operates and offers a varied, engaging role with fresh challenges each day.
A Court Registrar plays an important part in keeping court activity running smoothly. The role calls for strong organisational ability and involves supporting the Judge and the parties before court, during court, and after court in the capacity of official record keeper.
The Registrar acts as the main connection between the Court Office and the Court itself. You will help maintain clear communication across all parties, raise and feed back on issues, and work closely with the office team to support the administration of justice.
Collaboration is central to the job, and the role also provides valuable exposure to court practice and procedure, legislation, litigation, and decision-making. In some offices, the Court Registrar may also supervise staff, including task allocation, probation support, performance management, and training and development.
The experience built in this post is transferable and can support a meaningful long-term career within the Courts Service.
Work location and travel
The main place of work will be Naas Court Office, and the role is carried out on site. There is no hybrid or remote option. The position also requires regular travel to Athy Court Office on a rota basis.
