Role overview
Southern National Roofing is hiring a full-time Field Inspector in Fayetteville, NC. This is a W-2 position with weekly pay, where earnings are driven by hourly wages, commission, and performance bonuses. The company is hiring immediately and provides paid training for new team members.
About the company
Southern National Roofing is a large residential roofing business with more than $20M in revenue. It has earned recognition as #93 on the Roofing Contractor Top 100 list, #116 among the Top 500 Largest Remodeling Firms in the Nation, and #379 on the Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Companies list. The company is BBB Accredited with an A+ rating and is also a Top 2% Master Elite Roofer, a distinction held by fewer than 2% of contractors nationwide.
The team emphasizes growth from the ground up, advancement based on performance, and rewards for people who consistently deliver. Many current leaders began in entry-level roles such as retail, customer service, warehouse, hospitality, restaurant server, bartender, receptionist, or administrative assistant positions before moving into higher-earning careers in sales.
What the role involves
As a Field Inspector, you will work in residential neighborhoods to identify homes that may be eligible for a complimentary roof inspection and set up appointments with homeowners for the in-home inspection team. This is a ground-level, face-to-face field role. You will not be selling and you will not be climbing roofs.
The position is active, outdoor-based, and suited to people who enjoy speaking with others and working in the field. It is similar to customer-facing work in retail, hospitality, sales, or service environments.
Working schedule
This is an on-site role. Availability is needed Monday through Saturday between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM, with a total of 40 hours per week. There is no overnight travel, and transportation is provided from the office for the team.
Compensation and benefits
Pay includes hourly compensation, commission, and performance bonuses. Weekly earnings are stated as $770 to $1,350, and many first-year team members earn $40,000 to $70,000+ annually depending on consistency and performance.
Additional benefits include health, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k), ongoing sales training and coaching, recognition for top performance, and a social program with events and activities.
Hiring note
This opportunity is open now, with training starting right away for candidates who are ready to begin immediately.
Requirements
You should be comfortable speaking with people in person, present yourself professionally, and bring a positive, motivated attitude. Strong communication skills are required.
A high school diploma or GED is needed, along with a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for commuting to and from the office. You must also be able to work 40 hours per week within the Monday to Saturday schedule of 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Who may be a good fit
This role is especially suitable for candidates coming from retail, warehouse, bartending, restaurant serving, hospitality, receptionist, administrative assistant, or customer service backgrounds who want to move into a higher-earning, performance-based role.
