This is a full-time role for someone who is already in New York City or willing to relocate, with an expectation of being in the office five days per week.

Role Overview

As the founding recruiter, you will help assemble the team that builds Alpaca Health. You will recruit across the organization, including engineering, product, operations, provider growth, marketing, customer success, and clinical leadership. You will own the hiring process end to end and create inventive, scalable methods to identify, attract, and close outstanding candidates. This is a greenfield role, not a recruiting coordinator position and not one where an established recruiting function already exists. You will be shaping how hiring operates at the company from the ground up, and the people you hire will directly influence culture, pace of execution, and mission success.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead recruiting across the company, partner with founders and hiring managers, create sourcing systems, improve hiring processes, and help establish the foundation for a future recruiting team. You will also act as a storyteller for the company, helping candidates understand the mission and why joining Alpaca Health can be a career-defining move.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary, meaningful equity, health coverage, flexible paid time off, and dinner when working late. The stated compensation range is $80,000 to $140,000.

Additional Information

This is an in-office role based in New York City. Candidates should be comfortable working from the office five days a week and should be open to relocating if not already local.
