Freelance Presentation Designer

Role overview

Mindrift is seeking an experienced Presentation Designer for the Tendem project, where you’ll help build sophisticated storytelling workflows in a hybrid AI-and-human setup. The role centers on transforming complex information into polished, persuasive presentations and one-pagers that communicate clearly and look premium.

You’ll work alongside Tendem Agents, which take care of repetitive parts of the workflow, while you contribute the judgment, subject-matter understanding, and visual craftsmanship needed for high-impact deliverables. This is a part-time remote freelance opportunity suited to creative professionals with strong experience in visual communication, information design, and narrative-led presentation work.

What you’ll do

In this assignment, the focus is on visual hierarchy and storytelling. You will take dense data and raw narratives and turn them into compelling slides and concise one-pagers that are easy to follow and visually refined. The work may involve PowerPoint, Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or Figma.

Responsibilities

• Create high-impact pitch decks and professional one-pagers for specific target audiences.
• Convert complex information into clean visual stories with minimalist structure and strong hierarchy.
• Improve presentations with custom typography, tasteful motion, and consistent visual polish.
• Maintain a premium style that blends corporate professionalism with creative presentation design.
• Check every deliverable carefully for alignment, pacing, consistency, and brand accuracy before handoff.

Requirements

• About 2 years or more of experience in graphic design, presentation design, visual storytelling, or data visualization is preferred.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communications, or a similar creative field is an advantage.
• Strong command of presentation tools such as PowerPoint and Keynote for building complex, animated decks.
• Advanced ability in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop, or in Figma for custom layouts and graphics.
• Ability to turn layered data and structured information into simple, elegant visual narratives.
• Excellent typography and animation skills, including the use of custom fonts and smooth motion.
• English level of upper-intermediate (B2) or higher is required.
• Experience producing polished, high-end presentation layouts with a corporate-meets-creative feel.
• Very strong attention to detail and a high standard for visual accuracy.
• Independent working style with the ability to solve design problems without close supervision.
• A CV that includes a portfolio link showcasing presentation design, pitch decks, and data visualization work is mandatory; applications without a portfolio or relevant examples will not be considered.

Additional information

This is a freelance assignment on a part-time remote basis. During active phases, the expected workload is around 10 to 20 hours per week; this is only an estimate and not a guaranteed number of hours. Compensation can reach up to $45 per hour equivalent, depending on your experience and pace of contribution. Pay may vary across projects based on scope, complexity, and the level of expertise needed.
